4. Setting up the instrument

• Unpack the activated carbon filter and in-

sert it into the instrument (see Fig. 4). Make

sure to insert the filter with the correct side

facing upwards. See label (6) at the front of

the filter - the arrow must point upwards.

• Unpack the magnetic stirrer and insert into

the retort.

• Install the console flap (covers floppy drive

and ports).

l Prior to filling the bottles with reagent for the

first time, check the connections. If neces-

sary, tighten manually.

4.3 Installing the accessories

Remote fill / drain hose

• Connect the remote fill / drain hose as

shown in Fig. 5.

• Important!

When inserting the hose into the fill/drain

connection (item 7 in Fig. 5) the connecting

device (8) of the hose must lock with an au-

dible click.
